Aurora and Sigma had big away wins, at the expense of OSU Force and Vaughan Azzurri on Day Two
of the #L1OKickoff2019 weekend, while Masters and Pro Stars battled to a share of the points
in an entertaining Saturday night men's division finale.

Sigma FC registered a 2-1 victory over Vaughan Azzurri to kick off their 2019 season on the road.

Sigma’s Armstrong (43') opened up the game with a strong strike that went flying into the back
of the net.

Vaughan came out strong seeking out the equalizer in the second half and the Azzurri’s manage
to win the majority of ball possession.

A penalty kick was awarded to Vaughan equalising the match. Former Sigma player, Velastegui (52’),
placed the ball into the bottom left corner, sending Sigma's keeper Maan dive the wrong way.

The equaliser wouldn’t last long as Sigma was awarded a penalty kick after a hard tackle
in the box. Stoddart (69’) stepped up and although Vaughan’s Ghazanfari-Moghaddam got a hand
on the ball, his decisive strike made it through and proved to be the winner.

Vaughan Azzurri will next play Unionville Milliken S.C. on Saturday May 11 (8 p.m.)
at Mt Joy Field, Markham.

Sigma FC will next play Pro Stars FC on Saturday May 11 (7 p.m.) at Victoria Park Brampton.

Despite an early goal for the hosts, OSU Force's 2019 home opener was spoiled by a rampant
Aurora side that ran out 4-1 winners.

OSU's Jabara (5') gave the home side an early lead after an strong opening period where the
Force pressed Aurora very high.

Aurora soon answered back with a goal from Carvolho (17') to tie the game. Late in second half,
Aurora found the lead after Bauer (45') scored his first of the match in stoppage time.

A insurance goal came for Aurora via Zaghloul (70'), before the away side sealed the win with
a fourth from Ferrari (90') just before the final whistle.

OSU Force will next play North Mississauga SC on May 11 (5 p.m.) at Quinn's Point, Ottawa.

Aurora FC will next play Woodbridge Strikers on May 12 (6 p.m.) at Stewart Burnett, Aurora.

Masters FC could not overcome an inspired performance from ProStars FC goalkeeper
Christian Campanico, as the two sides played out out a thrilling 1-1 draw on Day Two
of the League1 Ontario opening weekend.

The hosts failed to break the deadlock despite having a man advantage throughout the second
period, as Michael Borowski was sent off in the additional time of the first half.

Akeem Priestly (39') opened the scoring for the hosts, heading in a free kick by Kirin Dimitrov
from the left side of the box.

ProStars responded immediately with Aleksander Zwierzynski (41') sliding the ball into
the net after a similar cross from the left flank by the visitors.

In the second half, Masters tried to hold on to the ball for longer periods, passing the ball
around to deplete the undermanned ProStars' energy reserves. However, when they found
openings in the ProStars box, they could not get past Campanico.

The goalkeeper’s performance peaked around the hour-mark, as he made two brilliant diving
saves in a space of two minutes.

Masters FA will next play Toronto Skillz on May 11 (8 p.m.) at L'Amoreaux, Toronto.

Pro Stars FC will next play Sigma FC on May 11 (7 p.m.) at Victoria Park, Brampton.
