Match Recap: Toronto FC II vs. Atlanta UTD 2 August 31, 2018 10:29PM EDT Adam Krueger Toronto – Toronto FC II fell to a ten-man Atlanta Untied 2 side on a perfect night for soccer at Lamport Stadium. The Reds came out early putting pressure on the visitors. Malik Johnson drew an early FK on the edge of the 18 but Tsubasa Endoh’s free-kick was off the wall. Michael Rabasca was forced to use one of his three substitutes early on as Tim Kubel went down after making the last chance clearance. Atlanta opened the scoring right after Kubel’s substitution as Lagos Kunga did well to finsh on a break. Caleb Patterson-Sewell was on his game after the goal of making a few reactions stops to keep the Young Reds within one. Right before the halftime break, an altercation occurred between Terique Mohammed and Tyler Ruthven. Ruthven was shown a red for his involvement so TFC II was put up a man for the second half. The Young Reds came out controlling the run of play, however, Kunga hit on the counter and once again did well to finish off the break to make it 2-0 for the visitors. TFC II hit a post in the 80th before Matt Srbely pulled on back with the last kick of the game to finish it up at 2-1. Toronto FC II is back in action next Thursday at Lamport Stadium as they take on the Ottawa Fury. The battle of Ontario gets underway at 8:00 PM.
