Match Preview: Toronto FC II at Tampa Bay Rowdies July 3, 2018 3:47PM EDT Adam Krueger Toronto FC II visit the Tampa Bay Rowdies for a 4th of July clash at Al Lang Stadium. The Reds, who have just announced a move to USL Division III next season, will be looking to pick up their first win of the season against a formidable Rowdies side. Toronto FC II comes in fresh off a 4-0 defeat to the Charleston Battery on Canada Day. Tampa comes in off a 1-1 draw against the Charlotte Independence a week ago. In their last five contests, Tampa is 1-1-3 and currently sit in 11th place in the Eastern Conference. The two sides last met in May at BMO Field. The match ended 4-2 in favour of the Rowdies but it was a thrilling 6 goal game. Dante Campbell and Malik Johnson had the goals for the Reds on the afternoon. Two players to watch from the Rowdies are Joe Cole and Marcel Schafer. Cole, the former England International is in his third season with the Rowdies. The past Chelsea and Liverpool attacking midfielder has three goals and one assist on the year for the Rowdies. Schafer is in his second season with the Rowdies after joining from Bundesliga side VFL Wolfsburg. The former German international has recorded four assists and 40 key passes so far this season.
