ATL UTD 2 has not enjoyed inaugural season success like their MLS side did last season.
Atlanta has stumbled out of the blocks to a 1-4-3 record.

The lone victory for the side came in their inaugural match, a 3-1 victory over NYRB II.
Since that game, ATL UTD 2 in winless in seven matches and has been outscored 14-6
including four straight loses.

Similar to TFC II, ATL UTD 2 has employed a younger side in the USL built around
a homegrown core.

Key Players
Two key players for Atlanta United 2 will be missing for this week’s fixture
as Andrew Carleton and Chris Goslin have been called into the United States U-20
team for camp.

Despite the absences, Atlanta’s lineup will still feature some impressive talent.
Irishman Jon Gallagher leads the team in scoring with four goals so far this season.
The 22-year-old was selected 14th overall in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft out of Notre Dame
but has yet to make an appearance in MLS this season.

Another first-team homegrown player playing significant minutes with ATL 2 is Lagos Kunga.
Kunga has played in all eight games for Atlanta 2 recording one goal and one assist.
Jack Metcalf has also played in every game this season; the defender/midfielder
joined ATL UTD 2 from Welsh club Bangor City.

The final player to watch is first team homegrown George Bello. The 16-year-old has made
three appearances thus far this season. The left back has been impressive
for a player born in 2002.
