A brace from Dylan Sacramento led Vaughan SC to a 6-0 win over the visitors Toronto FC III on Tuesday night,
with the result guaranteeing Vaughan a fourth place finish ahead of playoffs.

Toronto FC played a young team in the match, with many getting their L1O debuts.

Vaughan almost opened the score in the fifth minute of play when Matthew Arnone sent a great ball across
the field to find Sacramento on the run. Sacramento's header was perfectly timed, but the goal was called
back after the referee's assistant signalled for offside.

Toronto FC would answer moments later at the other end when Moises Corona combined well with his teammates,
but his shot was denied by the one-handed save from Vaughan keeper Matt George.

Vaughan would maintain majority possession this half, getting six shots on target and swinging in many
crosses and corners, keeping Toronto FC's 16-year-old keeper Eleias Himaras busy on his L1O debut.

In the 19th minute of play, Austin Ricci’s shot outside the box was saved by Himaras. The rebound came out
to Sacramento as Himaras made another great kick-save. The second rebound would fall to the feet
of Massimo Mirabelli (19') and he finished in the back of the net to open up the score line.

Toronto FC's best chance of the half came in the 34th minute when Osaze De Rosario chipped through Tom Akinola,
but Akinola's shot was just wide of the right upright.

Vaughan went up 2-0 just before the half-time whistle when Sacramento (45' + 1') struck one into the top
right corner from an in-swinging corner.

As the second half rolled around, Toronto FC found themselves with more possession than the first, with some
notable efforts coming from De Rosario.

Just before the hour mark, Vaughan went up 3-0 as Sacramento's cross found the head of Zachary Drake (57’)
in the box.

Toronto FC later had a great chance when the left-back Themi Antonoglou swung in a cross and found De Rosario,
but his header was saved by the left hand of George. De Rosario would have a couple chances on target this
half but was ultimately denied by George every time.

At the other end, Vaughan would continue to find the target. The Azzurri's half-time substitute, Brandon Mills,
sent a cross from the right side to find his brother Jashua Mills (68'), who volleyed it into the back of the net.

Minutes later, Sacramento (71') got his second goal as he neatly finished into the bottom left corner.

Vaughan ended the scoring fest when Austin Ricci (83') was in on goal and calmly finished in the bottom right
corner to put Vaughan up by 6-0.

With this win, Vaughan secure fourth in the standings and home pitch advantage in the playoffs with one more
regular season game left.

Vaughan SC will next play Pro Stars FC on Saturday September 21 (7 p.m.) at Victoria Park, Brampton.

Toronto FC III finish the L1O season with a 10-3-3 record.
