Hassan Abdulmumini (20') opened the scoring for Unionville Milliken S.C. but his goal was wiped out
by Jose De Sousa's tap-in (71') as Masters Futbol, who dominated the possession, failed to win
for the ninth consecutive match.

The host had the better of the early play, dominating the possession but failing to manage any shot
on target. Their best chance of the half was on 15 minutes after Cyrus Rollocks' glancing header
from a corner rattled the post.

On the other hand, Unionville sat back and waited to counter. Although they had less possession,
they managed six shots on target.

The only goal of the half was scored after Masters' defender Marc Jankovic gifted the ball
in a back pass to Hassan Abdulmumini (20') and the Unionville striker beat the keeper from
inside the box.

Down by one goal, Masters started the second half aggressively, trying to tie it up, but Unionville
did not give them much room in their defensive third.

After having their substitute Idean Zarrabi denied by the keeper in a one-on-one situation,
finally Masters were back on level terms through Jose De Sousa's (71') tap-in.

The final 15 minutes was wide open but neither side found the go-ahead goal as the match ended 1-1.

It was the ninth consecutive match that Masters haven't been able to win, leaving them with
a very diminished chance of finding a spot in the eight-team playoff zone. Their last victory
was back in June 2 when they beat Vaughan Azzurri (3-2).

Losing two points against Masters could also be costly for Unionville, who is in the last spot
of the eight-team playoff zone having Alliance United just one point behind with a game in hand
and a better goal difference.

Masters Futbol's next match is against Sanjaxx Lions on September 9 (2 p.m.) at Monarch Park Stadium, Toronto.

Sanjaxx Lions is the next rival of Unionville Milliken S.C. too. They will meet each other
at Bill Crothers Turf Centre, Unionville on September 14 (8 p.m.).
