Masters FA started well in their away game vs Ottawa South United on Saturday afternoon,
pressing high early in the game and getting rewarded when an early Reshaun Walkes (3') goal
put them on the front foot, but Ottawa South United would claw themselves back into the
contest and secured a 2-2 draw late in the match.

Masters' high pressure on OSU commenced immediately in the match with three back-to-back corners.
With a number of exceptionally tall players in the team, Masters looked a threat and on the
last set-piece the headed narrowly over the crossbar.

The game started to open up later in the first half, with OSU getting more chances in the
Masters' final third.

Their best on came when Scott Mazzotta intercepted a bad pass by the Masters' back line, quickly
lost his defender, and took a hard low shot to the bottom right of Master's keeper Sebastian Zeballos.
Zaballos got down and a strong hand to it, to touch it wide for a corner.

OSU started off the second half on the right foot, finding Mazzotta's (48'), as he tied up the
game 1-1 immediately after the restart.

Myles Cornwall had made a speedy run down the left-hand side, beating two defenders before knocking
a perfect cross to a waiting Mazzotta at the back post, who knocked it down and finished calmly.

Around the 65th minute, what had been a light rain turned into a heavy downpour.

The conditions seemed to distract the players and made for interesting field conditions.
This combination led to the game to really open up, with quick counter-attacks happening in waves
at both ends.

One of these quick counters resulted in Walkes (76') getting his second goal of the game off a long
through ball to the right-hand side.

Walkes continued after the restart to make threatening runs up the right-hand side, looking for his
hat-trick and the insurance goal for Masters.

Even in extra time, the game remained stretched, with Zeballos making a huge save in the third minute
of extra time to keep Masters up 2-1.

OSU wasn't done causing late dramatics though, as in the fifth minute of extra time Eric Watson (90' + 5')
salvaged the point for OSU making for a dramatic finale at 2-2.

OSU next travel to Oakville to take on the Blue Devils on Aug 12 (4 p.m.) at Sheridan College, Oakville.

Masters FA Saints return home Aug 11 (8 p.m.) to host FC London at L'Amoreaux, Toronto.
