It was an even game, but FC London was dangerous in attack and very organized in defence
to neutralize North Mississauga S.C plans and finally managed a 3-1 win.

Both sides started the match off in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The game was very balanced playing out more in the middle of the field without any real
scoring chance until 15 minutes when FC London scored two goals in the space of two minutes.
First, Connor Wilson (15’) found the net with a tap-in on Ethan Gopaul diagonal pass.
Next, Ethan Gopaul (17’) who set up the first goal, put his name on the score sheet through
a great shot from outside the box.

After the second goal, FC London sat back closing down all the spaces to keep their lead;
on the other hand, North Mississauga pushed forward but struggling to open up the opponent's
defence. They only had one real opportunity which was on a corner and blocked
by FC London defenders.

FC London could have scored another goal at the end of the half on a free kick, but they
were denied first by the keeper Chester Ashby and in the rebound by the post.

Down by two goals, North Mississauga pushed forward to get on the scoresheet in the second
half though they left spaces in the backline; on the other hand, FC London wisely controlled
the game, was dangerous on counter-attacks, and didn't let the opponent create any real chances.

However, on 81 minutes, North Mississauga finally find the net. Francis Ameyaw, who came off
the bench 12 minutes ago, controlled a cross from the right side in the box, turned and sent
it into the back of the net to give some hope to his side to get a draw.

Just after four minutes, FC London were awarded a free-kick very close to the box; Randy Ribeiro
stepped up and unleashed a rocket, North Mississauga keeper Chester Ashby got his hand to it,
but the shot was powerful enough to go in any way as the match ended 3-1.

It was the FC London fourth consecutive victory though they got all points in five of their
last six contests.

On the other end of the spectrum, North Mississauga suffered their second loss in a row;
they have got only one point from their last three matches.

North Mississauga S.C.'s next match is against Toronto Skillz FC Saturday, July 14 (8 p.m)
at Hershey Centre 1.

FC London will face Sanjaxx Lions at German Canadian FC Stadium Field on Friday, July 13 (8:30 p.m).
