TFC III Maintain First Spot By Hammering Windsor TFC 10-0 06/18/2018, 4:00pm EDT By Jonathan Cheng Hat-tricks from Daniel Bilousov (10', 41', 48') and Afram Gorgees (54', 82', 90') headlined the goal-fest at BMO Training Ground on Sunday as Toronto FC III cruised to a 10-0 victory over Windsor TFC. The smothering heat and humidity on the day didn't slow down the League1 Ontario leaders. Joshua Moreira (5') started the scoring spree early in the match, followed by Bilousov's treble before his substitution in the 70th minute. The TFC academy team didn't slow down until the final whistle. Jayden Nelson (73') and Zakaria Abdi (79', 89') put their names on the scoresheet after coming off the bench. Gorgees' three goals put his season total to six, only one behind league leader Marcel Zajac. TFC keeper Sebastian Sgarbossa earned his first clean sheet of the season. Windsor were unable to get things going in the 30-degree weather, and they remain winless in 2018. The loss leaves the Stars looking for answers as they fall further down the table. Their chances were limited by the strong TFC defence, having only attempted five shots in the game. The dominating victory cemented first place for Toronto FC III (6-0-1) with 19 points. Their goal differential has jumped to +21 (24 GF, 3 GA). Their next game is a quarter-final matchup in the men’s L1 Cup when they visit Pro Stars FC at Victoria Park on Saturday, June 23 at 8:00 p.m. They will return to league action on Sunday, July 8 when they visit Oakville Blue Devils at Sheridan Trafalgar Campus at 4:00 p.m. Windsor TFC (0-5-2) remains in last place with two points. The loss puts their goal differential at -22 (5 GF, 27 GA). They will have two weeks to regroup before their next match-up on Sunday, July 8 (7 p.m.) when they will look to earn their first win of the season against Alliance United FC at L'Amoreaux.
