Unionville Milliken S.C. took advantage of their very few chances in an otherwise even game to grab
a 3-1 result over Woodbridge Strikers, who had won all their last three matches.

Woodbridge Strikers started the match off in a 4-1-4-1 formation against Unionville's 4-4-2.

Woodbridge had a better start and created the first chance of the match; on thirteen minutes,
Michael Krzeminski took on his direct player in the corner of the box, but his final shot was parried
by Unionville keeper Adrian Ibanez.

Just two minutes later, a handball in the Woodbridge box was called a penalty; Tre Crosby (15')
stepped up and converted past the keeper to end Woodbridge's 285 minute clean sheet record.

After that, the game was balanced, but it was again Unionville who found the net. Isaiah Prentice-Whyte (35')
received a long cross from the right side at the far post and passed it under the Woodbridge keeper
Tyrone Williams' hands to double the lead.

Woodbridge earned five corners in the half but failed to take advantage of them, however, finally
at the 40th minute, they shortened the difference to one goal through Emmanuel Issac (40') from
the penalty spot.

Both sides changed their formations for the second half. Woodbridge played 3-4-3, and Unionville
was alternating between 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-2-1.

In this half, Unionville sat back, closing down spaces to keep their lead. On the other hand, Woodbridge
pushed forward to tie it up but struggled to open up the opponent's defence. They earned four corners
in the half, but just like the first half - no real scoring chance was created through them.

Ultimately, in the fourth minute of five minutes of stoppage time, Unionville finished the game off
on a counter-attack as Richard West (90') scored in a one-on-one situation.

It was Unionville's fourth win of the season, scoring three goals in all of them, and the final
result in three of them was 3-1.

Woodbridge Strikers' next match is in the L1 Cup against Vaughan on Sunday, June 24 (7:00 pm)
at Vaughan Grove 1.

In the league, they will take on Aurora FC in their next match on Sunday, July 8 (7:00 p.m)
- again at Vaughan Grove 1.

Unionville Milliken S.C., who have been eliminated in the cup, will face Sigma FC at Bill Crothers Turf Centre
on Saturday, July 7 (8:00 p.m) in league play.
