Afram Gorgees's late penalty (88') gave TFCIII their fifth consecutive win,
and registered Masters Futbol Saints' first defeat of the season, as the match
ended 1-0.

Masters started the match off in a 4-3-3 formation against TFC III's 3-5-2.

Masters came out swinging, earning two corners in the first ten minutes
and creating few real scoring chances. They could have taken the lead at the
third minute as Reid's low drive from inside the box went an agonizing inch wide.

After almost 15 minutes, the game balanced and began to be played more in the middle
of the field; both teams struggled to open up the opponent's defence as there was
only one shot on target in the half, which was done by TFC Kota Sakurai from distance
and controlled by Masters' keeper Spiridon Koskinas.

Each side was forced to do a substitution after TFC's Sakurai and Masters' Jose Melo
collided with each other on 25 minutes and both needed to leave the field due to injury.

The second half was more dynamic as both teams tried to find the net, though not conceding
a goal had the same importance for them.

TFC III's best chance was on 56 minutes when Joshua Moreira hit the post on a free-kick;
on the other hand, Masters had two clear opportunities to get on the score sheet,
but TFC III's keeper Brogan Engbers' saves kept the scoreline clean.

First, Engbers denied Jose De Sousa in an almost one-on-one situation and then he was
at full stretch to palm away a Reafe Anderson drive from inside the box.

With just two minutes left to play, TFC III were awarded a penalty. Afram Gorgees stepped
up and converted past the keeper to secure three points for the league leaders as the match
ended 1-0.

After being pegged back in the first week by FC London (1-1), TFC III have won all of their
five matches and kept a clean sheet in three of them.

On the other side of the spectrum, for the first time in this season, Masters got no points
from a match; they have two wins and two draws in their column before this contest.

Masters Futbol's next match is against Alliance United FC on Sunday, June 17 (7 p.m)
at L'Amoreaux #1.

TFC III will face Windsor TFC at BMO Training Ground & Academy on Sunday, June 17 (1 p.m).
