Sigma FC came away with the three points and a clean sheet after goals from Marcel Zajac (15'), Kadell Thomas (45'),
and Tajon Buchanan (87').

The game was a very physical one right from kickoff as both teams looked hungry for the go-ahead goal.

FC London's James Pucci swung a cross in off the free-kick in the early minutes of the game but Sigma goalkeeper
Triston Henry just got a left-hand touch to tip it away to safety. This would be London's best chance
of the first half.

Sigma's leading goal scorer, Zajac (15’), found the net early in the first half after striking a one-timer from
the top of the 18-yard box and into the top right corner of the net for his seventh goal of the season.

A huge chance for Sigma would come in the 27th minute as a mistake by the FC London defender caused goalkeeper
Anthony Sokalski to come off his line and make a big save on the six-yard line. FC London would then scramble
to get the ball away from their goal.

Thomas (45') would neatly place a left foot strike into the net in the dying seconds of the first half
to put Sigma up 2-0. Sigma would outshoot their opponents 7-2 in the first half.

The second half begun with FC London maintaining more possession but having trouble executing in the attacking
third of the pitch.

The game remained physical as both teams then shared possession with most of the play happening in the middle
third of the pitch.

Sigma had numerous crosses swung into the box but couldn't quite capitalize on them or get shots off on target
until the 87th minute when Buchanan sealed the win for the home team.

Sigma FC will next host Sanjaxx Lions at Hershey Centre on Saturday June 9th (4:00 p.m.).

FC London will next host Darby FC at German Canadian Club on Saturday June 9th (4:00 p.m.).
