An even match between Aurora FC and ProStars FC ended 2-2 after 90 minutes, but ProStars
keeper Aaron Peters saved two penalties to give the victory to his side (3-4). They will meet
TFC III in the quarter-finals of the League1 Cup.

Aurora FC started the match off in a 4-2-3-1 formation against ProStars FC's 4-3-2-1.

Aurora converted their first chance to take a lead after Dylan Rennie (10') had the ball
on the edge of the box looking for a teammate, but abruptly changed his mind and unleashed
a shot to the far top post leaving the rival's keeper Peters no chance.

The game was more played in the middle of the field, and both sides couldn't create real
scoring chances; however, five minutes before the end of the half, ProStars earned a penalty
and Owusu George (40') converted that by sending Aurora keeper Ryan Collins the wrong way.

The second half was very similar to the first half. Both sides were struggling to open
up the opponent's defence, but Aurora had the edge over Pro Stars.

The last 15 minutes was thrilling. ProStars' Peters denied Rennie from the penalty spot
in the 75th minute. Aurora got back on top though thanks to Kairav Juta's (80') header
off a corner.

It seemed like the match would end by this result, but at the 90th minute, ProStars got
back on level terms, as Anthony Chrysanthou (90') received a long pass from Abbey Kunrunmi
and sent it into the far post with an angled drive.

Ultimately, the match ended 2-2 after 90 minutes and went straight to penalties.

ProStars converted all of their four penalties by Owusu George, Aleksander Zwierzynski,
Uday Arora, and Yuriy Klinovskyy; on the other hand, Aurora converted their first,
second and fourth penalties by Morey Doner, Juta and Ricardo Perez Padilla.

Peters was denied Carlos Buitrago's and Alexandre Medeiros's attempts and helped give
his advance to the 3rd round of the 2018 League1 Cup.

Aurora FC's next match in the league is against TFC III on June 3 (1:00 p.m)
at BMO Training Ground & Academy.

As for ProStars FC, they will face Toronto Skillz FC at Birchmount Stadium on June 3 (5 p.m).
