FC London won a thrilling 2-1 match over Woodbridge Strikers with a very late goal to secure
all three points for the visiting side.

Woodbridge’s Ignazio Muccilli (38’) opened the scoring after a great low cross
from Christian Cavallini.

The Strikers were dealt a blow in the 63rd minute, when centre-back Kyle Watson was issued
a straight red card reducing them to ten men.

This opened play up for the visitors, as London’s Belal Halbouni (68’) cancelled out
the early lead with a low strike that found the bottom corner.

More foul trouble hindered Woodbridge, as centre-back Quante Smith (84') received his
second yellow card and was sent off, leaving his side to nine men to finish the game.

In extra time London found the winner, as substitute Chad Gopaul was sent in alone
and made no mistake in securing the victory.

Woodbridge Strikers' goalkeeper Tyrone Williams made some big saves for his team,
keeping them in the game despite being two men down.

While at the other end, FC London's Anthony Sokalski also came up huge after denying three
great scoring chances for Woodbridge in the last fifteen minutes.

With the win, FC London’s record improves to 1-0-1 putting them tied for fourth in 2018.

The loss for Woodbridge leaves them winless to start the season at 0-1-2, leaving them
in the bottom end of the table.

Woodbridge will visit the Hersey Centre on May 19 (8:00 p.m.) to take on North Mississauga S.C,
who are looking for their second win of the season.

London will host the winless Prostars FC on May 18 (8:30 p.m.)
at the German Canadian FC Stadium Field.
