In the first half, Toronto FC III came out strong in the first couple minutes of play moving the ball well, maintaining possession, and putting Unionville Milliken on the back foot in search of the go-ahead goal. Dada-Luke would get his first of the season after his lone effort on top of the 18-yard box, as he dribbled past some defenders and struck one low into the bottom left corner beating the outstretched right hand of Unionville's Emmanuelle Ameltonis. Things would pick up for Unionville in the 24th minute of play as they pressed Toronto FC III in their half looking for an equalizer, but had trouble getting any shots off. Unionville's best chance of the first half would come at the 38th minute of play when a corner was swung into the penalty mark causing Toronto FC III to scramble in the box and get the ball out to safety. As the second half rolled around, Toronto FC III began the same way they started the first–dominating possession. They would move the ball well across the top of the box finding Jordan Faria (51') who used his quick feet and pace to beat his defender and slot a left foot shot low into the bottom right corner for his second goal of the season. Unionville would get three shots off later in the game, notably one from substitute Terrance Bernard in the 62nd minute of play, but nothing that Toronto FC III goalkeeper Drew Shepherd couldn't handle. It was overall a very physical game – Unionville tallied a total of 13 fouls, and Toronto FC III a total of 20 – with majority of the play happening in the middle third of the pitch. With this win, Toronto FC III move to the top of the table with a 2-0-1 record after three games. Unionville Milliken will next play Vaughan Azzurri on May 19 (8 p.m.) at Bill Crothers Turf Centre.
