First Half:...game starts 8:02pm...NMP defends south end on this evening with a strong wind wind from the east.
A misty rain is driving from the east. There is only a table top clock so all times are converted from my wristwatch.
3 min...NMP Esperance 30 yard freekick from right is through box to NMP Wright who dribbles and rolls 6 yard shot wide right.
5 min...NMP Esperance cornerkick from left has ball die in the wind and doesn't make box and is cleared.
6 min...NMP Watson 15 yard shot from left batted away by goalie. His 12 yard rebound is stopped by sliding defender
as they both slid.
11 min...PS Uadiale 12 yard low shot fro mleft is smothered by goalie on near post.
15 min...NMP goalie 90 yard freekick bounces wide left of net as goalile let it bounce over him.
18 min...PS NmAuley freekick from 22 yards on left bends wide right and over box.
19 min...NMP player's 35 yard freekick from left and NMP Watson pops up header from 6 yards on left post and NMP player
shoots over net.
20 min...PS goalie dives forward and pushes cross from right forward and defender clears.

well wide left for goalkick.

which bounces to Watson who pokes 7 yarder under sliding goalie Jonathan Albanese.

89 min...PS RED card...Owusu George earns a direct ejection for a diving header that he gets hand to. He has
to be carried off the field by his teammates because of the injury he sustained on that play.

93 min...NMP Chambers blasts 18 yard shot that sprawling goalie first pushes away then smothers.

A tweet I received said the night game of Darby FC against Sigma FC was cancelled because of the high winds.
It was at the Whitby Soccer Dome !? Today details were provided that the dome roof hadn't blown off but was
damaged inside. Light standards attached to the ceiling had fallen. I switched to Plan B which was to catch
North Mississauga against Pro Stars FC at Hershey Centre Field #2. It's great to live in the GTA as there
are choices for a quick change of mind for alternate plans.

Hershey Centre Number 1 has a dome still not taken down from the winter...yep looked alright
but...that's what Sigma FC uses and the Panthers use #2 open air. So the game starts and down comes a misty
rain and it eventually turns into a torrential downpour driving the 150 fans down to 60 by the start of the
second half. Result was another surprise this weekend as Pro Stars earned a 2-2 tie. They were the last
place team in the league last season with only one win. A tweet from the league came through and said their
gate was 112.

Triston Watson opened the scoring at 27 minutes for NMP (he scored the lone goal in last week's win against
Alliance United). Aleksander Zwierzynski scored at 42 and 56 minutes for Pro Stars but Rahim Thorpe responded
at 59 minutes right in the strongest of the rain. I had finessed my way across the field to cower under
the DJ tent with my notebook (that's a pen and paper kids--not a computer).

Pro Stars Silas Obeng played only five minutes coming in at 78 minutes and subbed out by 83 minutes. I remember
him beaten on one run but that was a very short appearance. He didn't look injured when he was subbed off.
