October 2, 2017 League 1 Ontario--Match Recap: Pro Stars FC vs TFC III (from League 1 Ontario)
Match Recap: Pro Stars FC 1 - 4 TFC III 10/02/2017, 12:00pm EDT By League1 Ontario staff Toronto FC III's Noble Okello (47', 58') had two on the day, while teammates Zakaria Abdi (8') *ERROR* and Cyrus Rollocks (23') added one apiece, on the way to a 4-1 win over hosts Pro Stars FC. "I think there were some good performances from our attacking players," said TFC III head coach, Danny Dichio. "Dante [Campbell] went to play at centre-back after playing at midfield, his real position. I thought Jordan Faria, our left-winger, did really well today. He set up a couple goals and was really effective going forward, he found some nice pockets to receive and put some lovely crosses in for a couple of the goals." "I think the group knew they could have done better but they just did enough to win the game at a comfortable pace." Kibwe Dyer (83') scored the lone goal for Pro Stars and his coach thought it was the best quality goal in the match. "I think Kibwe [Dyer] was the MVP because he scored a nice goal," said Pro Stars team official, Indrit Fortuzzi. "For me, it was the nicest goal of the game." "In all, we have a good group of younger players that we used today, but they are young and so we don't want them to lose focus or become discouraged because they are playing against a very strong team," he added. "We put the youngest ones in for fifteen or twenty minutes to enjoy the game and see what it is like at another level." "For this match, it was really the same objective as usual - to improve our players," he concluded. "It was not a game to take a result as we played one of the biggest teams in the league. We worked in some new players today as well, to see them in action for the future, and we're happy with that." Toronto FC III will next play Sigma FC on October 5 at Hershey Centre, Mississauga. Pro Stars FC will next play FC London on October 6 at Marconi Club, London.*STORY ERROR*--league stats show Cyrus Rollocks scored at 23 and 47 minutes and Noble Okello
