Pro Stars FC player George Owusu (90') got an extra time penalty that, combined with a clean sheet
from teammate Jonathan Albanese, handed the Brampton-based academy their first win of the season
following the final whistle on a 1-0 defeat of Windsor TFC Stars.

"It was a hot day but we started strongly," said Pro Stars head coach, Josef Komlodi. "We had some
chances and missed them, but we thought the game was over because the other team was one man short.
I think our players then thought it would be easy and began to play a little bit selfishly and
abandoned the team concept that we like to play."

"Today's team was a very young team again, but this result should give us some strength to go
forward and build the program and confidence for the players in their next game and the future."

Windsor head coach Zibby Piatkiewicz also brought a young side (and an undermanned one as the
Stars played with only ten men), and despite the loss was happy with the fight they displayed
and the potential for the future.

"We came up here with ten men due to one player having a personal issue at the last minute, but
no big deal," said Piatkiewicz. "We have played with one man down before and done pretty well.
In this game, with all players being seventeen years old, they played their hearts out. If they
give me that in every single game, I'm okay with that."

"Pretty much to get scored on with a penalty shot in the ninetieth minute - that hurts," he added.
"In spite of being a man down, we could have won that game. I was just proud of the kids in terms
of how they played today."

"We just have to find a way to find the net," he concluded. "I just told them at half-time to get
the early crosses in and that would get their defenders out of balance. They did that a few times
and it worked, we just missed the net."

"Things happen but I like what I saw today. It's a big improvement from the first game they played
in League1 and I am looking forward to next year."

Pro Stars FC will next play Toronto FC III on September 30 at Avondale Stadium, Brampton.

Windsor TFC Stars will next play FC London on October 1 at University of Windsor Stadium, Windsor.
