Mujtaba Ameen (42'), Johnson Luyiga (48') and Jordan Prescod (73') scored to eventually guide
North Mississauga SC to a 3-1 victory over visitors FC London, despite a Sandro Rajkovic (57')
strike that gave fleeting hope to London.

"I want to congratulate the opposing team because they identified all of our weaknesses, focused
on attacking those areas, and created a lot of chances," said London head coach, Dom Kosic.

"I think this was an excellent game to watch, with a lot of chances created, and I congratulate
North Mississauga on the win."

The result brought North Mississauga to fifth position in the men's west division and - with two
matches remaining in their season - marked a solid second season for the team after an excellent
end of season spell in 2016.

"One of the things that we were looking to accomplish this season by changing the make-up of the
squad was to bring through a younger group and create consistency," said North Miss head coach,
Sam Medeiros.

"We were very consistent throughout much of the season, either winning or losing matches
by one goal, and today we won by two. Our goal for this year was to clean house, put into
perspective what we need to do, and creating a path for some new players that will come
in next year and some people that will be supporting me in running the program."

"The club has given me the green light to proceed into next year with a squad that will
be a mixture of mature players that are finished school and will be here for the entire season,
and we will use the young players from our U21s for the rest."

Similarly, London's Kosic already has his attention concentrated on the future, preparing
players and plans for the 2018 campaign.

"I would like to thank my president and club as they have allowed me to prepare some things
for next season, bringing through some new players and trying some new things with the tactics
of the team, now that we cannot win the league," he revealed.

"Last week and this week we brought through some very young players to try and push them and
see where they belong for next season. We want to have a clear picture in our club of what
we have for next season and this is most important for us."

"We showed how we can play this season, we showed the style we can play and had good runs.
It is the end now and although we cannot play for the championship, we can try some young
players and see how prepared they are for the next season."

North Mississauga SC will next play TFC III on September 23 at Hershey Centre, Mississauga.

FC London will next play Oakville Blue Devils on September 24 at Bronte, Oakville.
