Toronto Skillz defeated visitors Windsor TFC 3-0 on Matchweek 16, claiming their first win of the
season thanks to successful finishing by Frantz Bill (24'), Neil Brown (76'), and Kamara Joseph (90'),
and a clean sheet from Lucas Birstingl.

"Some positives to take away were the first win of the season, for sure, a clean sheet, and putting
three goals in the back of the net," said Toronto Skillz player coach, Leslie "Tiger" Fitzpatrick.

"You can't be upset with any of that and we created a lot of chances, which is always positive."

"Unfortunately the other team was a little short-handed today but I think at this time of the year
all the teams are going to struggle a little for personnel,"

Skillz has consistently kept faith with their internally produced youth prospects, and although
it has been hard to see out complete performances and gain wins - the side has grown in ability.
Fitzpatrick said it was all by design.

"Where we had an advantage today and for the rest of the season is that our younger players got some
experience early in the season, so although there were some struggles stepping into a game like today,
they felt comfortable," he said.

"We have the same situation with some of the kids going back to university but I think we looked
at the big picture early in the season and started playing our younger players for this specific purpose."

Windsor TFC head coach Zibby Piatkiewicz said his side was short-handed due to squad rotation with
a number of players returning to university.

"Number one, we came to the game a little short on players," he said. "I guess it is going to be like
this for everyone in the league, losing players to university, but it is not an excuse - you still
have to play the game. We came up short today."

"We are going to try and regroup and train during the week, come back and come out stronger," he added.
"There are really no positives to take from this performance for us."

Toronto Skillz will next play Pro Stars FC on August 17 at Avondale Stadium, Brampton.

Windsor TFC will next play Oakville Blue Devils on August 20 at Sheridan College, Oakville.
