Woodbridge Strikers stayed top of the men's East division following Matchweek Ten after
Milan Beader (11') and Luca Baldassare (90') scored at either end of the match to give
the home side a 2-0 win over Sanjaxx Lions.

"The positive thing is that we got the three points and the win, but I don't think we played
that well," said Woodbridge head coach Peter Pinizzotto.

"We did create many opportunities and that has been one of our biggest problems all year -
not being able to score when given opportunities - and today we got quite a few."

"We kept Sanjaxx in the game by missing opportunities and unfortunately that is how
it has been," he added. "But at least we are creating chances."

Woodbridge keeper Quillan Roberts got his third clean sheet of the season and once again
was a decisive factor in ensuring Woodbridge's defensive record remains among the best
in the league.

"Definitely one of the number one things at our club, at least since I've been coaching,
is to make sure we don't give anything to the other team and to stay disciplined defensively,"
said Pinizzotto.

"Today was important that Quillan made a big save for us on a free kick, again at the
right time. It could have been a tie game right there, even though we dominated,"
he concluded.

"Quillan is making the key saves when we need it and a clean sheet is very important to us."

Woodbridge Strikers will next play North Mississauga Panthers on July 8
at Hershey Centre, Mississauga.

Sanjaxx Lions will next play Durham United FA on July 8
at Kinsmen Park, Pickering.
