The Toronto Inferno will play in the W-League (W = Women) starting in 1999. For 1998, they will play a partial schedule of exhibition games. The team name was unveiled April 4th, 1998 at the Soccer Expo at The Hangar in Downsview in a name-the-team contest. The team uses the name 'Toronto' after originally planning on the localised 'Scarborough'. The team will play at various local stadiums around Toronto rather than just Birchmount Stadium in Scarborough.

Their schedule for 1998 looks like this (home team listed first):

Four of their eight games were not played. It's easy to be a fan. We'll see what happens for 1999 when the Inferno are given full W-League membership.

Their development team will be from The Ontario Soccer Academy.

Admission price will be only $2.00 for adults, $1.00 for children.
