Here are the results of the CPSL game between North York Astros and Toronto Olympians played at Esther Shiner Stadium in North York at 7:30pm. This was considered the 1st game of the 2 game aggregate Playoff Semi-Final.

Attendance was about 100 people. Astros stayed in the game early by having an aggressive goaltender clearing through balls even if he had to come well out of his box. This is a two game aggregate so it looks all but over as the Olympians have not lost a game all season.
Follow-up:...The 2nd game of the aggregate was not played. It was initially scheduled for Wednesday October 7th at 8:00pm at Birchmount Stadium but a heavy rainstorm got the game postponed at 5:00pm that evening. The pressure was on to have the game played on the Thanksgiving Weekend (October 10-12th). [My speculation--The most likely stadium availability was Sunday night] but that was Astros captain Michael Marshall's wedding. The Astros owner advised the League that he couldn't get a full squad together so he forfeited the game. The game goes into the record books as a 2-0 forfeit. [My opinion--I don't blame the Astros as they were ready to play Wednesday game in this almost impossible fight, the season was really dragging on at this point]. I didn't go to the Wednesday game (weather raining and I had a cold) although I didn't know it was called off but didn't know it was cancelled. I went to the stadium the previous Wednesday September 30th because I was assured at the Olympians vs Shooters game that the game was to be played 'this' Wednesday. (didn't make sense as it was the last game of the regular season but involved other teams, but this had been a crazy season).
