REVEALED! PRE-SEASON FIXTURES ANNOUNCED AS NINE STRIPES’ PREPARATIONS INTENSIFY

In early March, the squad will travel to the US for a couple of assignments.

PENN PALS

York United FC has confirmed its schedule of pre-season friendlies, with the group set to spend some time in the United States as preparations intensify ahead of the upcoming 2023 campaign.

The first assignment takes place on Wednesday, February 22 against CF Montreal's Under-23 side before Martin Nash's charges head to Penn State University for a clash with the Nittany Lions on Saturday, March 4.

TEXAS FOREVER

The squad will later travel to Houston for some warm weather training and remain there until the middle of the month, taking in a clash with MLS Next Pro side Houston Dynamo 2.

After returning home, there will be four more friendlies, beginning on Sunday, March 19 against TFC II. The following weekend, The Nine Stripes take on League1 Ontario side Simcoe County Rovers while it's a local derby on Saturday, April 1 as York lock horns with bitter rivals Forge FC.

And exactly one week prior to the season opener (against Valour FC at York Lions Stadium, Sunday April 16 at 2pm), York United will play their final friendly against Alliance United on Sunday, April 9.
