Toronto FC II sign forward Alec Díaz By Toronto FC Communications @TorontoFCMR Wednesday, Mar 30, 2022, 10:28 AM Toronto FC II announced that the club has signed forward Alec Díaz to an MLS NEXT Pro contract. He will be added to the club’s roster pending league and federation approval. “Alec will add quality to our front line as he is technically sound and reads the game very well with and without the ball,” said Toronto FC II Head Coach Gianni Cimini. “He poses a constant threat to the opponents’ backline with his movement in between as well as in behind defences and will be exciting to watch this season.” Díaz, 20, spent the past four seasons with Tacoma Defiance, scoring 12 goals and adding five assists in 58 appearances for Seattle Sounders FC’s affiliate team.
