Attendance was about 80 on this warm evening with most of the fans avoiding the two sections
of small aluminum bleachers in favour of sitting on the grass or the rocks of the steep beirne
on the east and south side of the field or from the parking lot above the south side. Too spaced
apart to start a fan-fight like Woodbridge's Sunday home game. The young ball boys only stayed
for the first half but there were enough balls laid around the outside of the field to not cause
long delays.

Referee Mahboob Gulestani gave out six Yellow cards (four to Woodbridge) besides the two Penalty
kick calls tonight. I liked how he explained the one to WS Abdou Raouf Mohamed who earned
it for grabbing UM Mohamed Diallo as he tried to get by him on the right at 47 minutes. As the
nearby WS bench was complaining he made sure we could all hear “For continuous fouls, there
and there and there!” as he pointed to places on the field where Mohamed had made tackles and grabs
during the first half. Because of the league's delayed reaction to RED cards, WS defender
Keegan Wilson who picked up one at the very end of Sunday's game against Scrosoppi FC, he was
allowed to play for tonight but as a team official answered me, he is expected to miss this
weekend's game.

Woodbridge assistant coach Michael Aquino did all the instructing and yelling from the touchline
tonight while head coach Peter Pinnizzotto stayed on the bench recovering from a bad cold.

Unionville Milliken had only listed 17 players on their teamsheet (there's space for 20—seven
subs can be used plus two for concussions) but had to cross off two just before game time for
an injury during the warm up and someone who was a last minute cancellation. That left only
a selection of four with no backup goalie. Then they had to use one of them at 38 minutes
because of an injury. It was possible they were playing with ten after 78 minutes after
another injury to a defender just before Woodbridge scored their last two goals.

By the time I got home all five of the L1O games were over tonight. The Woodbridge win improves
their record to 5 wins, 4 losses, 0 ties for 15 points. They zoom up to seventh place from
sixteenth at the beginning of last weekend but two wins in a row will do that to a large pack
of teams all separated by a few points. Hey two games with four goals in each game.

Unionville Milliken stays at fifteenth (well five way tie for twelfth) with a record of 3 wins,
5 losses, and 2 ties for 11 points. Good defensive record only allowing 15 goals but only
scoring 9. They have only one tie and five losses in their last six games. This was the first
of four home games for them. They started the season with five home games but this means they
have long stretches of road games to even things out.

Top six teams this season make the playoffs. Top twelve averaged over the next two years
survive the division split in the Premier Division with the other ten in the Championship Division.

Author of all those Billboard Top 100 Chart books Joel Whitburn passed away a few days ago.
I hadn't noticed all the Wilson's playing for Woodbridge. Defender Keegan Wilson, midfielder
Armaan Wilson, and seeing goalie Shafique Wilson playing tonight it means I can change
“As many Wilsons' as Heart, to as many Wilson's as the Beach Boys”. I'll have to ask next
time I see them if they are related. There were three Mills brothers playing for ANB Futbol
in the league's early years...that was a singing group too.
