York United FC Loans Striker Lisandro Cabrera to Dominican Republic club Atlético Pantoja

Toronto, ON (March 17, 2021) - York United Football Club can confirm striker Lisandro Cabrera has joined 
Atlético Pantoja on a short-term loan deal.

With the Dominican Republic side facing into a mouthwatering Round of 16 clash with Mexican heavyweights 
Monterrey in the CONCACAF Champions League next month, it gives the 22-year-old - who signed 
for York United in November last year - the opportunity to get some elite game-time under his belt 
ahead of arriving in Canada for the forthcoming CPL season.

Pantoja earned their place in the tournament by finishing as the best-placed team in the 2020 Caribbean 
Club Championship.

“It’s very simple and the move makes sense for all parties," says Angus McNab, 
York United FC CEO/President & GM.

"Lisandro is very keen to play matches, Atlético Pantoja have some key games on the horizon 
in the CONCACAF Champions League and we want to ensure all players come into our environment 
in the best condition and form.”
