MATCH PREVIEW: City Islanders Look to Keep Playoff Dreams Alive in Toronto Sunday Posted on August 12, 2016 TorontoVSHarrisburg_AUG14 The City Islanders will travel to Ontario Soccer Centre where they will take on Toronto FC II this Sunday, August 14 at 7:30 p.m. This will be the third and final meeting between the teams who have split the first two matches hosted by the Islanders this season. Toronto FC II will be looking to bounce back from their most recent loss to Orlando City B, while the Islanders are coming off of a 1-1 draw against USL Eastern Conference leaders Louisville City FC. Currently sitting at twelfth place in the USL Eastern Conference standings, the Islanders will need no less than three points in order to keep their playoff dreams alive. The first meeting between the teams resulted in a 2-1 win for the Islanders, while the second ended in a 2-4 loss. Aaron Wheeler and Paul Wilson recorded a goal a piece in their first meeting on May 24 and Garret Pettis and Jose Barril each recorded late goals in their attempted comeback and loss to Toronto on July 10 at Clipper Magazine Stadium. Trailing Toronto FC II by only one point in Conference play means this match will be crucial in giving the Islanders hope in reaching USL playoff contention, in which the top eight teams in each conference receive a playoff birth. The match will be live streamed on USL Match Center on Sunday, August 14 at 7:30 p.m.
