Where: Ontario Soccer Centre Livestream: tfc2.ca Toronto FC II returns home to the Ontario Soccer Centre on Sunday when they take on the Harrisburg City Islanders at 7:30PM. The Young Reds open up their final home stand of the season this weekend. Mitch Taintor emphasized the importance of upcoming games, “Playing at home is a huge advantage, we need to capitalize on the next few games to get maximum points.” Toronto FC II will be looking to bounce back after a tough loss to Orlando City B. “That was difficult for us to take,” said Head Coach Jason Bent, “We’re trying to put up as many points as we can on the home stand.” Sunday could see the debut of loan keeper Nathan Ingham. “It has been an easy transition for me, everyone around has made it super easy for me, “ added the Keswick Ontario native. This will be the third and final meeting between the two clubs this season. The teams have split the first two matches both at Clipper Magazine Stadium. The first game ended 2-1 for the Islanders. The most recent matchup ended 4-2 for Toronto FC II. The game saw goals from Raheem Edwards, Aiden Daniels, and two from Ayo Akinola. The Islanders will come into the match with some confidence after drawing 1-1 with first place Louisville City FC on Wednesday. The Islanders are currently 12th in the eastern conference just one point behind the Young Reds. Players to Watch: Jose Barril: Barril is a Spanish forward who calls Madrid home. As a youngster, Jose spent his time in the Real Madrid Youth Academy. He made 38 appearances for Real Madrid C, scoring seven goals. He then moved to Harrisburg in 2014, and has appeared in 65 games, adding eight goals. This season, Barril has 4 goals and 5 assists in 22 games. The 24 year old scored a goal in the last meeting between TFCII and Harrisburg. Shawn McLaws: The 59th overall selection in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft is having a good first season in Harrisburg. The former NYRB II defender has appeared in every match for the Islanders this season. He has chipped in with 2 assists this season.
