RHINOS RETURN TO CANADA By Rochester Rhinos , 07/19/16, 12:00PM EDT Rochester Faces Toronto FC II Tomorrow Night ROCHESTER, NY- The Rhinos hit the road after three consecutive home games for a midweek match up against Toronto FC II for the second time this season. The team has not lost in over a month, their last loss coming on June 18 against first place Louisville City FC at home. The team gained its third win in their past five games Saturday against FC Montreal with a 3-1 victory. The game will be broadcast live on the USL Match Center In their previous meeting at the Ontario Soccer Centre, the Rhinos fell to Toronto FC II 2-1, despite a late stoppage time goal by Joseph Farrell. The game was at a stalemate until the 77th minute when Luca Uccello, who entered as a sub just five minutes prior, scored his first goal of the season, followed by another stoppage time goal by Malik Johnson. Follow the game using #TORvROC Steevan Dos Santos managed to beat the Toronto defense several times in their last meeting to get prime shot opportunities but was unable to finish. Dos Santos has been heating up as the season rolls into the final half, with goals in 2 of the Rhinos last 3 matches. Leading the team in shots, and only two goals behind the leading scorer Christian Volesky heading into Wednesday’s match, he is a player to watch. Rochester’s only other midweek match up came a few weeks ago against FC Cincinnati where the Rhinos fought hard for a 2-1 victory against the newcomers. Toronto is coming off of a strong 4-2 win over the Harrisburg City Islanders. The game saw five goals in the second half, three of which came from Toronto. Toronto is 5-11-4 on the season, and 2-3-0 in their last five games. They sit eleventh in the Eastern Conference standings, while the Rhinos are fifth. Raheem Edwards (6) leads Toronto’s scoring, while Malik Johnson (4) is not far behind. Malik found success against the Rhinos in their first meeting, and is a player to keep an eye on in Wednesday’s match up. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. at Ontario Soccer Centre.
