FC Cincinnati to honor Orlando victims on Saturday CINCINNATI, OHIO | June 17th, 2016 At Saturday’s 7pm home fixture against Toronto FC II, FC Cincinnati will honor the lives of those who were lost in the horrific attacks that occurred last weekend in Orlando. The club will hold a moment of silence prior to kick-off on Saturday to pay respects to the victims and their loved ones. The players will also be wearing black armbands honoring the victims. A donation to the #OrlandoUnited/One Orlando Fund has also been made by the club. “Sports teams have a prominent platform as a uniting force in a community and we know FC Cincinnati has many LGBT fans,” said Jeff Berding, General Manager and President. He added, “As a club, we want to send a message that ALL members of the Cincinnati community are valued and always welcome at FC Cincinnati matches.” Additionally, FCC supporters groups in The Bailey are coordinating a display to show their support for the victims.
