The Young Reds got back into the winning habit in spectacular fashion on Saturday night with two late goals, Luca Uccello's first on the season and a sensational finish from Malik Johnson, guaranteeing a 2-1 win over Rochester Rhinos and three more points. Uccello was jubilant following the win and his goal in front of his hometown fans, but remained focused when discussing the game; “We gave a goal away and that's something we're going to look at on the video” the Woodbridge native said, “we're going to improve for next time so we can get a 2-0 result instead of a 2-1.” The team will be hopeful of continuing their run against FC Montreal, a team they vanquished earlier in the season in dramatic fashion when Raheem Edwards scored the winning goal late in regulation time. Edwards will likely play a role on Wednesday, but Malik Johnson is the man in form at present and his blistering shot on Saturday was the sign of a player who is full of confidence. FC Montreal suffered another loss on the weekend, their 10th of the season. They currently hold up the table and have rarely bothered the scoreboard operators, netting only six goals this season. The travails of Alessandro Riggi no doubt play a large part of this. While he only has one goal in eight games this year, the TFC II backline can't afford complacency as he scored nine last year, so could be ready to spark into life at any time. Players to Watch: Ballou Jean-Yves Tabla: In 2014 the youngster was named Canadian U-17 player of the year, despite his only being 15 at the time. He leads the team in scoring this year with two goals thus far, and his talent and technical trickery has earned him a place with the Canadian U-20 set-up when they beat England 2-1 earlier in the year. Marco Dominguez: Marco Leonel Dominguez-Ramirez is the beating heart of the FC Montreal team. He shields the back four, reads the game well, and passes the ball efficiently and smartly. It says a lot that he lists Xabi Alonso and Samuel Piette as his favourite players. This past winter he spent time training with Bologna, and the sturdy midfielder saw more of the world when, in 2013, he represented Canada at the CONCACAF U17 Men's Championships in Panama, and again at the FIFA U-17 World Cup. © 2016 MLS.
