Match Report: New York Red Bulls II 2 - 2 Toronto FC II March 26, 2016 5:50 PM EDT Devang Desai torontofc.ca Toronto FC II opened their 2016 USL regular season campaign with a 2-2 draw against New York Red Bulls II at Red Bull Arena. The Young Reds were lifted by a huge first half performance by goalkeeper Alex Bono. As the game developed following a flurry of key Bono saves, TFC began to find their feet. An excellent combination play, started by right back Mark Bloom, culminated in a Raheem Edwards goal, with well worked passes from Sal Bernal and Mo Babouli. Jason Bent’s side continued to press, and just before halftime Skylar Thomas made it 2-0 for Toronto FC II. The central defender showed touch better reserved for the forwards on this team. The home side responded, however, with two goals within four minutes in the second half. Brandon Allen scored both goals, notching a draw for the home side. Toronto FC II returns to action on April 9 when they face FC Montreal at 7:30 PM ET.
