Toronto FC II Announce Roster Moves December 9, 2015 12:25 PM EST Toronto FC Staff Toronto FC II announced Wednesday that it has exercised contract options on six players, while two players are already under guaranteed contract for the 2016 season. Toronto FC II has picked up the contract options on defenders Adam Bouchard, Wesley Charpie, Skylar Thomas; midfielders Sal Bernal, Raheem Edwards and forward Molham Babouli. The two players already under contract for the 2016 season are: midfielders Bubacarr Jobe and Luca Uccello. “As we look to build on the positives from this past season, our main goal is to continue the development of our homegrown and drafted talent into first team players,” said Toronto FC General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko. “Providing the opportunity to play meaningful games in a professional environment will be vital to their growth as young professionals.” “With a year of professional experience in the USL, we expect our returning players to take on a leadership role for the academy players called into USL matches,” said Toronto FC II Head Coach Jason Bent. “With one of the youngest teams last season, we will continue to give our academy players professional games to aid in their growth as young professionals both on and off the pitch.” Toronto FC II has declined options on defenders Daniel Fabrizi, Mark-Anthony Kaye, Emeka Ononye; midfielder Edwin Rivas and forward Massimo Mirabelli. Forward Ben Spencer has returned to Molde Fotballklubb (Molde FK) of the Norwegian Tippeligaen following the expiry of his loan. In addition, Toronto FC II has signed midfielder Anthony Osorio to a USL contract. As per club and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Osorio, 21, appeared in 17 matches, starting in 10, registering two assists during the 2015 USL regular season for Toronto FC II as a call up from the Kia Toronto FC Senior Academy team. He made his first professional start on May 16 against Louisville City FC and his professional debut on April 25 against Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Osorio originally joined the Kia Toronto FC Academy in June 2014. During the 2014 season, he played with the Kia Toronto FC Senior Academy team in League1 Ontario. He helped the Senior Academy team capture both the league championship and the Inter-Provincial Cup Championship.
