Sanjaxx Nail Down Second Consecutive Win In 2-0 Result Over Aurora 08/08/2016, 6:00pm EDT By League1 Ontario staff Sanjaxx Lions posted their third win of the season on Sunday, 2-0 over Aurora United FC at Sheppard's Bush, Aurora. Men's west All-Star starting keeper Matt Zaikos kept the clean sheet for the Lions, while Bryan Uyiosa (18') and youngster Timothy Cordova (86') made contributions to the scoring summary. "The guys are quite ecstatic," said Sanjaxx technical director, Laza Lowe. "It was a little bit lucky, but that is how it is." "It's a development program," he added. "We are looking to continue to introduce more younger players from the Under 21 program. The kid who scored the second goal (Timothy Cordova) is coming directly from the Under 21 program." "The idea is to work with the younger players at the Under 21 level and then get them into the League1 Ontario program." With the win - their second in as many matches - Sanjaxx moved to seventh position in the west division with nine points from 12 matches. Sanjaxx will play North Toronto Nitros on August 14 (8:30 p.m.) at Esther Shiner Stadium, Toronto.
