Tonight there's a rather awkward 11 of us trying to get the bar number one on the continent. We started off with 10 having a perfect TuneUp round but fizzled out in the OnBeat round. The questions seemed harder. I was in 3rd place out of 13 players at the end of Triviaoke with 20950 which was not as outstanding as some weeks I've done that well on my own. Oh well 50% risked on this question which we had confidence that we'd get this.

Lots of suggestions for this one but we mostly argued about who we considered a 'pop vocalist'. Not sure that we'd cover all the choices, I covered Eddie Fisher as he seemed the least famous. I didn't think Elvis ever played here but some guessed this. Bill MADDOG covered Louis Armstrong and I heard at least three people mumble Tony Bennett.

I'm wrong and finish with 10475 points. I know something's wrong when I finish in 3rd place. Could it be?.....Yes the whole bar wiped out on this question! Everyone was wrong. The Tony Bennett's changed their answer. Joe ENIGMA wins with 11426 which is 284th in North America so this question must have wiped out much of the continent. I'm 1092nd on the continent and I miss how bad our bar finished. I earn 1500 Players Plus points because the target was 17000.
Another fact learned is that when 10 people 'win' the TuneUp round, only the first three names show up on the round winner cartoon.
[the answer to the Encore question was in my music book as it became a live album later that year]. I found out ENIGMA owns both Joel Whitburn's Single and Albums books just like me. Now we've got more respect for each other. Damn, these books were expensive!
