Encore Question of January 31st, 1998.
Played at The Keg-Sheppard Centre in North York.

  1. Perfect World
  2. Jacob's Ladder
  3. If This Is It
  4. I'll Be Your Shelter
  5. Hip To Be Square

Tonight by the time of the Encore question, I am the only player in the game. I have an excellent 5000/5000 start in the TuneUp round. My friend Paul left at 10:30pm and two other players also quit or left after the game started. My score is 19782 until now. I decide to risk 50% and with this question, I feel very confident what the question will be.

Question:...Which is not a Top 10 for Huey Lewis and The News:

Well exactly the question I thought it would be. I click in and write down the question and choices.

Correct Answer:...4. I'll Be Your Shelter

(The answer also says that it was Taylor Dayne that had a hit with this song, I was thinking of the band Lone Justice [their son was simply 'Shelter'] before I saw the answer. Didn't matter, I knew the other songs by Huey Lewis).

I'm right and win with 29673 points. I'm sure I earn 2000+ Players Plus points. I finish 146th in North America. The bar is 2471st on the continent as I am the only player here. I am Number 1 on this bar's Hall Of Fame board for this game but this place is no pushover as 2nd is 28589.

The bar Maxwells (ie Maxwell's Mix) was the continent's best bar in the 9:00pm and 9:30pm games. That bar is about 2 blocks north of where I was. Players AUSPAT and DAVETV showed up in the individuals Top 20. MOLSON came over from across the street at The Frog & Firkin after the music trivia and said the F&F had fixed their linkage with the NTN network and that DAVETV and AUSPAT had already left Maxwell's. F&F had finished 17th of the top bars with a 27608 average for their best five scores. There are some smart people within a one mile radius. I was sick for the last few days so decided I'd get home early and not join the F&F crowd. I must have looked funny playing in a parka to block the blast of air conditioning from above.

There's a ROCKET at Mr. Mikes in Haverhill Massachusetts who often finishes in the top 20.
