Tonight I have a big lead after a slow start despite cowinning TuneUp and winning JukeBox but thanks to dominating the Triviaoke round I stretched the lead on HOMER. I have 18021 and HOMER has 12228. While I need to risk at least 10%, I know HOMER has to be right to catch me and I want to get onto the Hall of Fame Top 10 board at the bar. The minimum is over 22,000 now. So with 50% (9010 points) on the line...

Well I couldn't have told you his first name but I'd heard of that songwriting team. It was Gamble and Huff. Couldn't think of any of their songs right then. I pressed in '1' then went over to make sure MADDOG changed his answer and he told MEWLER.

Well I'm right and win with 27031 points. I earn 2000+ Players Plus Points. MEWLER finishes about 100 points over the 17000 (2000 point) minimum. MADDOG finishes third. I think we were the only ones of 16 players to get the question right. I didn't get the final position of the bar against North America but I finished 130th against individuals. I get 5th place on the bar's Hall of Fame so I have the Top 9 scores...next week I may go for the sweep!
The band tonight was Grand Poobah who were a trio of guitar/vocals, bass/vocals and drummer. They played rocked up pop songs from the 1960s to 1990s. They announced it was the 40th birthday of bar patron Mike MEWLER so we all wished him well.
