NTN Encore Question of December 1st, 2012.
Played at The Unicorn in Toronto, Ontario.

Headliner:...LED ZEPPELIN over Aerosmith and Motley Crue

Encore Question:...The 2012 Led Zeppelin film 'Celebration Day' documents a 2007 tribute concert held in:

Tonight I'm playing with Rob COSMO/ASTROS and Phil PLBAAB at The Unicorn. The Frog & Firkin doesn't have ntn installed during their renovations right now or possibly ever.

Here's how my game went and my comments:

Tune Up...ROCKET...4000/5000..4th/5.
.............LITBOX...4000/5000...4th/5...COSMO/ASTROS and PLBAAB win round at 4500.
The Line Up...ROCKET...13000/15000...3rd/5.
...........LITBOX...13000/15000...3rd/5...I get 9 right and 1 wrong for an excellent round.
The ASTROS board dies out and only gets one right. Phil gets Rob a replacement board at the end of the round but it's back at 5500 points.
Triviaoke...ROCKET...16190/25000...3rd/5.
............LITBOX...16190/25000...3rd/5. PLBAAB wins round.
I start off getting the first four questions wrong for -250 each including a Taylor Swift song that they didn't use in her Headliner week.
Opening Act...ROCKET...25440/35000...3rd/5.
...........LITBOX...255440/35000...3rd/5.
The Pound key round. I figured I must have gone 9 right for 1000, 1 for +250, 0 for -250, and 0 I didn't answer.
I guessed to early on the first question before I realized it was 'God Bless America'. Hey I'm not an American! I tip my friends off
so they'll get 1000.
Headliner...ROCKET...41190/56250...3rd/5.
............LITBOX...41190/56250...3rd/5...I get 9 right and 1 wrong.

I had old notes from three years ago about Led Zeppelin and just added the chart positions of albums and singles that I'd already listed. I spent my time making notes about the other two Headliner choices which I didn't have.

Q1 easy enough. Q2 also easy. Q3 I didn't know but Phil gets us this one. (the factoid said it could go on twenty minutes in concert but I look up on my CD that it's just over four minutes.) Q4 just thinking that it's a logical thing for him to play. Q5 Now this was the Encore question from the game when they were the Headliner three years ago and of course during the week I looked back at my write up. Q6 I've never read where there were any late joiners to their group so put out Paul Bennett. Q7 this is the only song I recognized from that album and by the end had ruled out the others. Q8 I knew this but Rob says it first...even that the group was reforming a few years ago. Q9 I didn't know this but knew I'd written down Atlantic Records and Swan Song for the era. Quick peek at my notes can I do it in time? "1973, so that's Houses of the Holy" I say. Oops. They may have formed their label in 1973 but didn't release their first album until two years later. Q10 another triviaoke type question but I got it.

Not much different three years later stylewise except they now mix in Triviaoke to two of the questions.

Easy enough. I bought the DVD/CDs as a first day sale on Tuesday but haven't opened it yet. I had read of the concert when it happened and then read about it again when this album/concert was reviewed in the papers earlier last month. I make sure my friends have it and even name the arena.

Correct Answer:....1. London

[NTN Extra Fact:...The 2007 concert was held at the O2 Arena in London for a record company friend.]

Friend? Hey they mean Atlantic Records executive Ahmet Ertegun and I tell my friends about him but mess up the fall that eventually killed him was while watching The Rolling Stones (rather than them).

I am again the first one here tonight. I ask for five playmaker boards and test they all can be turned on. One doesn't and I get a substitute. I don't realize then that one of the boards must be close to dieing off and that's what happens to the ASTROS board at the start of The Line Up round. It would help if my friends would get here with more than two minutes before the big game starts.

Here's how the rest of the bar did:
Player	preEncore Final Rank ntn.com rank
PLBAAB 43210 1 64815 13 35
COSMO 41370 1 62055 18 46
LITBOX 41190 1 61785 18 48
ROCKET 41190 1 61785 18 48
ASTROS 33590 1 50385 56 115
(ntn.com listed 1999 Players Plus players with 1851 having a positive score in the Playback East district).

I'm right and stay in 3rd place with both my boards with 61785. I earn 3000+ Players Plus points by meeting the standard of 18000. I finish 18th in the Playback East district. The bar is listed as 4th on the Network Top 20 with an average of 60165. Phil wins as PLBAAB and finishes 2nd on this bar's Hall of Fame. We now have the top five places.
(ntn.com keeps us 4th highest bar out of 907 in the Playback East district with a 60165 average.)

A repeat Headliner! I'd rather have had someone new. Doesn't have to be a new artist but maybe someone like Tommy James.

.....LITBOX...7751...2nd/4...4257 points...2nd/3...1500+ points.
I got here in time for the 33rd question as I didn't leave home until the end of the MLS Cup. YYYMMM wins although he'd quit earlier. I needed the final questions right to pass him and was wrong like every week even by splitting. 8:00pm...(see above)
9:00pm...Tuned In...ROCKET...7060/10000...2nd/5...I earn 900+ points...I'm 123rd in the East district.

lots of help in this game. Only about 250 players met the P+ standard so I must not be the only one who doesn't watch any 'New' television programs.
