Tonight I'm playing with Rob COSMO, Sean METLCA and Phil PLBAAB.
I drove here from the soccer game that was in the west end of the city anyway so I was glad that this was the week they decided to come here. I had to stick to diet colas for the evening but that didn't bother me.

Q1 easy enough for me but they were from Akron Ohio. And punk? I did see a picture book years ago where they posed with the members of Blondie. Q2 didn't know this but Sean said he'd seen the club on a trip to NYC. I can't remember if he said it was open at the time. Q3 no idea, I said Rhinocerous when they asked me. [the first three were plays by this guy]. Q4 own all these albums. Q5 guess by me and the others guessed this too. Q6 only album I knew for sure that she did of the choices. Q7 and Q10 easy enough hmm in the same game? maybe left over from a Headliner game they never ran. Q8 I knew this one [knowing a bit more about them would have meant separating him from Erlanger, a guy who guested on their albums]. Q9 I didn't know this, friends thought before answers came up that it was drums in that they make noise. Q10 see Q7.
Phil gets Q9 to pull even further ahead of us.
Now the Encore betting comes up. Well 50% as usual. I'll need this right to get the full P+ points.
I think Phil pointed out that what kind of 'New York Punk' game would it be without a question about The Ramones? Yeah OK so we were thinking about them. I didn't make any notes during the week as the categories were too broad and I still had the CSL Final to attend and catch up on my website. I did spend a total of 30 minutes during the week looking on Wikipedia mostly memorizing the members of NWA.
OK oh. There they are! I didn't know that album. The friends are in for it right away and I follow. I could only rule out the Beastie Boys and had never head of '1' and '5'. Dead Boys I'd seen in my brief read on Wikipedia. [If I'd read my old notes on a past possible Headliner I would have been more sure of the answer].
Correct Answer:....2. Ramones
[NTN Extra Fact:...'Ramones' was their 1976 debut album. It began their punk band status.]
The album made the Albums Chart for one week in 1994 so hard to know it. Nope I like the friends' logic before the question came up.
The other table had control of the juke box and switched their playlist choices to songs by groups like Talking Heads during the Headliner round. Just happened to have a Talking Heads song playing as they asked a question.

I got here from a soccer game in time for the 7th question. I was actually was trying to get here later but the Tim Horton's within walking distance was closed. I would have been lucky to get 5000 but there was a loud group near me yelling the answers to each other. I had 19xxx before the last question and would have bet '0' if I'd met the 20000 standard. Next time I will ensure I come much later so I don't waste my time.
