Tonight I'm playing with Rob COSMO, Sean METLCA and Phil PLBAAB. A long subway ride here but I brought my most recent copy of Billboard magazine to read.

Well let's try this week's Headliner. My friends see a lot of movies. Q1 OK good start. Q2 The Sound of Music (and they've already asked two Mary Poppins questions tonight). Q3. My Fair Lady Hmm these last two could have been in a Broadway Musical Headliner round. I wonder if they switched in midstream? Q4 very easy in just a choice of colours. Q5 I didn't see anything about the movie Easy Rider listed in the question. Q6 another easy one. Q7 all choices were women's names that started with the letter 'M'. I'd heard of the movie about Australian drag queen entertainers--nice they put Mathilda as a choice. Q8 I've seen previews of the movie with this song playing but have never seen the movie. Q9 I've heard this song. I say "He sang it to a chair" as a joke as he'd had a debate at the Republican convention the week before debating a chair respresenting an absent Barack Obama. Q10 Nope didn't know this from the list of classic 1950s songs. I didn't notice the gender switch of 'He's So Fine' and if I did I'd probably think it was an error in the writing. When my friends asked me I said I was going with 'Peggy Sue' as that sounded like the most rocking song of the choices.

I don't know this. Rob immediately says it's NOT 'All Shook Up' as that is by Billy Joel. OK. I think 'Heartbreak Hotel' is too slow to feature a hard rocking bass player. Sean says it might be 'Don't Be Cruel'. Sounds good to me. Rob asks if he's sure otherwise he's going for something else.

I'm wrong and fall to 2nd as LITBOX with 20695. I earn 3000+ points for meeting the standard of 18000. I finish 179th in the Playback
East district. The bar is 11th in the Playback East region. Rob wins with 39280 by getting it right but forgetting to press in his risk.
I remind Phil to bet 50% by tapping him but Rob is out of reach and he doesn't hear me say "Press 5, 5, 5, 5". The network scores are even
lower this week.

This is three week's in a row now that I don't know the Encore question. Really only a 20% chance of being right. Last week Rob got us the Encore answer to save us a good score. Not so much fun to make a 26 station subway ride to be slammed on the last question. The schedule now has an NFL trivia game (not all football questions but the majority are) and it starts at 7:00pm so I have no reason to get here until 8:00pm. The swimming pool I go to has been closed for renovations from Labour Day until the beginning of 2013. Although I go Tuesday and Thursday nights most pools are open instead on Saturday nights instead and I should look into hours of nearby pools to stay in shape.
