Tonight I'm playing with my two boards with Rob COSMO, and Phil PLBAAB. We couldn't get a fifth board for our table as the boards had all been given out to the bar players and some other group who were signing on multi times with as many swear words as NTN would allow. (very tame PG rating but could get away with more than I could nearly thirty years ago when I tried).

I helped us sweep through this round easily. I have read about Pat Benatar while playing her greatest hits CD within the last year and came across that fact. The date was too early for Madonna's career. I'd also remembered the album title in Q8 but 'Liz Phair' had me doubting myself.

I don't know this and pick 'Behind These Hazel Eyes' as I was thought that song was an Encore answer before and could picture Christina Aguilera singing it. The only song I could rule out was 'A Moment Like This' which was written by the conglomerate behind the show that would be the first single of whoever won that first American Idol season. Well my friends have asked me but Phil says couldn't it be 'Miss Independent'? Hmmm. Well for female empowerment for both of their reputations, that would be a good answer I think, (like Aguilera's songs 'Beautiful' and 'Fighter'). "Yeah it could be!" I say with a really positive tone and change my answer. Ron CHATZ has come over without his board to see what we've picked. I'd promised to go over to his group if I knew the answer.
This is the first season that I'm actually watching American Idol and The Voice. I read just a few days ago about the sniping between the two groups of judges and the news that Kelly Clarkson would guest on The Voice this season as a mentor for their contestants. Maybe if I read the article deeper they may have mentioned the link between Clarkson and Aguilera and it would have made this question easier.

I'm right and win as ROCKET with 75735. I earn 3000+ points for meeting the standard of 18000. I finish 4th on the Network Top 20 in
all North America. The bar was 9th in North America with a 43308 average...I place first on this bar's Hall of Fame board as the only
entry as the board for all games has been reset wiping out all the old records.
(ntn.com listed 1573 bars as they've now split off a few hundred into Playback West who play this game at later time then us). I wonder if
they play the same game and if that allows Playback East players to phone their friends out west?
I get the question right but Phil didn't change his answer from my first suggestion even when I said I'd changed with seconds to spare. We only had four boards anyway so wasn't expecting a great bar score. I thought before I got here that this bar was cut off from the Network again since I couldn't find last night's scores for this location on the ntn.com site.

Our television screen has been magnified and cuts the 10th and 20th place off every recap listing and after a question is asked it rolls the question to the top of the screen and cuts the first line of the question off when the possible answers are shown.

The Playback game has been moved up to 8:00pm for some reason although I'd been warned for the last month. Some of their onscreen ads still listed
a 9:00pm start. It looks like Topix has been bumped to Friday night (and Thursday night as always) in all the shuffling.
This early start could cause me to miss more games than last year once the soccer season gets going.
