We ran through the whole round. Phil saved us on Q6 with the Pavement answer. I recognized 'Soul Cages' as a title so I didn't have to know the Grammy winners. For Q9, the 'Rock' ruled out about two of the answers and I thought about their conservative nature. Rob called out Billy Ray Cyrus as I was thinking of LeAnn Rimes but it was really four years before her career started. Pat Methany was the artist most likely to release this although some names I didn't recognize but my friends got me this.
Now the Encore betting comes up. Well 50% as usual.

For some reason I zoom right in on Death Row. I have read a story in Billboard magazine celebrating the anniversary of Def Jam which was founded by Rick Rubin but then I remembered that the black artists he was with like LL Cool J weren't Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg so I was not going to change.

This is the first time I remember playing at the #1 bar for Playback since July 3rd, 1999 when the question was about a then unknown to NA listeners Shakira. We had two friends just returned from holiday on Venezuela that heard about this 'Alanis Morissette type from Colombia'. For this week's game I noticed that the two bars that the players better than me split their answers on the Encore question. We don't have that leeway.
