Who sang the hit version of the disco anthem 'I Will Survive'?--Gloria Gaynor...2. Maurice Gibb who was 53 when he died was part of this hot music group of the disco era:--Bee Gees...3. 'Turn The Beat Around' was a disco number recorded by this one-hit wonder:-- Vicki Sue Robinson...4. Dangling chains come to mind when listening to their disco hit 'He's the Greatest Dancer':--Sister Sledge...5. Which disco diva turns up the heat on 'Love To Love You Baby' and 'On The Radio'?--Donna Summer...6. The Big Apple Band was the original name for this disco associated group:--Chic...7. Thelma Houston had a disco hit with this song:--Don't Leave Me This Way...8. This disco band formed in South Florida in 1973 had a hit with 'Get Down Tonight':--KC and the Sunshine Band...9. "Uh-Huh Uh-Huh" is a phrase heard throughout this disco single:--That's The Way...10. Laura Branigan had a big disco hit singing about a girl named:--Gloria
We swept all 10 questions this week. When I started listening to radio from the early 1970s, almost all these songs were played on the Top 40 radio station CHUM-AM in Toronto. Near the very end of the 70s the station revised their playlist and weeded disco songs out. Only Q4 I hadn't heard played but I had certainly read about it in music books. Rob got us Q6 as I couldn't think of anyone but Walter Murphy but backed him when I thought at least the band was from New York City. The other choices weren't really disco bands but I would have run out of time without Rob.
Now the Encore betting comes up. Well 50% as usual.

I don't need any time to know the answer to this one. I have read this in the few-line bio from every Joel Whitburn book I've bought. I make sure my friends have answered right. Rob says he can eliminate the other answers. Yeah Diana Ross for '1' and '5'. (too busy with The Supremes). Gloria Gaynor as '3' (maybe if you like BBWs). Village People are a group of guys for '4'.
Correct Answer:....2. More More More
[NTN Extra Fact:...After the huge hit, Andrea True's singing career went the way of her acting career.]
I'm right and win as ROCKET at 72060 points. I earn 3000+ points for meeting the standard of 18000. I finish 8th on the Top 20 board in North America. The bar is 5th in North America with a 69333 average. I finish 4th on this bar's Hall of Fame. (NTN kept our bar as 5th out of 1861 bars).
Bill MADDOG comes over and says he was talked out of the correct answer. Ron CHATZ came over and said he was to blame. I hadn't thought of running across the bar to give them the answer this week but I would have had enough time.
