a line from a great road tune by The Rolling Stones:--Jumpin' Jack Flash--9. The Rolling Stones 2002 greatest hits collection is titled '40 _______':
Licks...10. All of these songs were recorded by The Rolling Stones EXCEPT:--Paperback Writer

I spent some time the night before making notes about The Monkees. I figured since the new 'Headliner' round format, both The Beatles and The Rolling Stones have been categories already. Also these two groups had too much history for me to study within the hour I had to spare.

I'm wrong on questions '1' going with Flashpoint (Rob was right, it was a live album, just the wrong year) and '3' where I had 'Some Girls' as their first Grammy winner. As the others had Voodoo Lounge, they gradually pulled ahead of me by bonus points as we then rattled off seven in a row.

Now the Encore betting comes up. Well 50% as usual. Last week my friends forgot to wager anything and then turned out to be right on the Nerd Rock Encore and would have had a great score instead of 31 and 38K final scores. I can still get this wrong and get 3000+ points.

Answers:

  1. Black And Blue
  2. Goat Head's Soup
  3. Some Girls
  4. Sticky Fingers

I'm not sure of this one but I knew it took place in the 1970s. I know he was on 'Some Girls' but I was thinking of the album cover on 'Black and Blue'. I'm pretty sure it was him on the cover staring at Mick Jagger who was staring out at the camera. I'm going with that I let the others know when they ask but Sean and LeeAnn don't hear me. After the game I have Sean look it up on his mobile phone. There's the front cover with just Mick and Keith Richards staring at him and Bill Wyman in the middle. Uh-oh. "What about the back cover?", I ask. He shows me just plain black and blue halves with a song list on it. I have to go home and pull out my CD and find that in the insert was the rest of the picture with Wood and Charlie Watts on it.

Correct Answer:....1. Black And Blue

[NTN Extra Fact:...Wood replaced guitarist Mick Taylor who left the group for a solo career.]

Wow. Not the best way of figuring out an Encore answer but it worked. I was expecting this was a 'no tricks/obscure' question and the scores would be quite high but I was surprised by our high rankings especially with only four of us hitting it.

I'm right and stay in 3rd place as ROCKET with 56745 points. I earn 3000+ points for meeting the standard of 18000. I finish 14th overall in North America. The bar is 5th in North America with a 51210 average. Phil wins as PLBAAB with 63495 and was 7th on the Network Top 20 for all North America. He places 6th on this bar's Hall of Fame.
(NTN kept our bar as 5th out of 1910 bars).

Here's how the rest of the bar did:
