Tonight I'm playing as ROCKET and LITBOX with Bill DOGGIE. JEREMY joins us later.

...........LITBOX...12500/15000...1st/3.
We go 8 for 10 for a good score.
Triviaoke...ROCKET...20810/25000...1st/4...my two win round.
..........LITBOX...20810/25000...1st/4...I take one -250 this week for a good round.

Opening Act...ROCKET...28560/35000...1st/4...JEREMY wins round.
................LITBOX...28560/35000...1st/4.
The Pound key round. I must have got 8 right for 1000, 0 for +250, 1 for -250, and 1 I didn't answer.
I switched from a 1000 to a -250 when the second pass happened. I should never do that unless I'm sure.
Headliner...ROCKET...40060/56250...1st/4...DOGGIE wins round.
............LITBOX...40060/56250...1ST/4.

On the Headliner round I miss on questions 7 and 10 which hurt building up bonus points. I had help which I was looking for Jefferson on '3' and almost settled for Huey Lewis and the News. Jeremy gets us '5' as I think I was on the song 'Mr Jones'. None of us got '7'. There are a lot of cities mentioned in '8' but the choices were Rome/Honolulu/Hong Kong/Tokyo/Dublin so it made it easy after all. I missed on '10' by going with Willie Nelson on a list of Country artists.

Now the Encore betting comes up. Well 50% as usual. This could be about anything.

I don't know this song. It could be any of these stars. I think I've seen a song listing of Frank Sinatra as a singer of this but he sang hundreds of songs. I can't help any the team. I can only think that somehow Wayne Newton doesn't belong with these jazzy singers. That doesn't mean his show business career/casino act doesn't have him sing this. It would have helped if I knew this song.

Correct Answer:....1. Wayne Newton

[NTN Extra Fact:...The first recording was in 1918 by the Sauter-Finegan Orchestra.]
I looked up on Wikipedia the next day to get the proper spelling and it said the song was written in 1932 and the Sauter-Finegan Orchestra recorded it in 1952.

I'm right and win as ROCKET/LITBOX with 60090. I earn 3000+ points for meeting the standard of 18000. ROCKET is listed as finishing 19th on the Network Top 20 for all North America. The bar is 12th in North America with a 38214 average which I thought was great for only four players and one of us getting it wrong. I place 7th on this bar's Hall of Fame board as LITBOX. (NTN.com kept our bar in 12th place out of 1679 bars).

Here's how the rest of the bar did:
Player	preEncore	Final	Rank	ntn.com rank
ROCKET	40060	1	60090 19 49
LITBOX	40060	1	60090 19 49
DOGGIE	38740	1	58110 21 21
JEREMY	25560	3	12780 761	1560
(ntn.com listed 6677 players with 6071 with a positive score)
