NTN Encore Question of August 22nd, 2009.
I wasn't playing this week as a soccer game was moved from the afternoon to the evening. Thanks to MitchWolf from the Buzztime message board for the recap.

Encore Question:...What female singer had Rockabilly hits in the 50's such as "Mean Mean Man" and "Fujiyama Mama"?

I would have known this. I had never heard of this woman until earlier this year when some newspaper articles mentioned that she was performing at some small club in Toronto and the background story had her carrying the title as the female Elvis at the start of the Rock era.

Not knowing that it would have been harder as I would have pitched out the eras. Patti Smith for punk rock in the 1970s and Janis Joplin for the 1960s. Brenda Lee wasn't really a Rockabilly style and I could have picked out her songs from a list I didn't recognize these. It would have been down to two and knowing Ruth Brown was Black, I would have picked Jackson anyway.
