Tonight I'm playing with two boards as ROCKET and LITBOX with Rob COSMO/METLCA and Phil PLBAAB.

The worst I've done in this round since the new format. Triviaoke...ROCKET...17629/25000...3rd/8...COSMO is in the lead. ..........LITBOX...17629/25000...3rd/8...I only take one -250 in the round but earn a lot of +200s and +300s. A lot of help from Rob in this round. Opening Act...ROCKET...23379/35000...3rd/8...LITBOX wins round. ................LITBOX...24129/35000...1st/8...METLCA is in lead with 26532. The pound-key round. I wondered before the game started if my finger would catch the pulled up overlay at the far corner of the ROCKET playmaker. Yep one answer didn't go in at the first pass of 1000 so I had to wait for the second run at 250. For LITBOX I must have got six right for 1000, three right for 250 and one wrong for -250. Headliner...ROCKET...44629/56500...2nd/9...my two boards win this round with a sweep of all ten questions right and I earn all the bonus points available. Now I know the round is worth 21500 so I can figure out a perfect game must be 86250. ............LITBOX...45379/56500...1st/9...All ten questions are about Trios. I couldn't really study for that. It was not too specific about any one musical genre so I thought it was fair for everyone. I knew the least about The Grateful Dead so chose to study them which meant writing down the names of the band members over the years. I don't have much time now that the soccer season is getting started. My friends missed a middle question so had to start building bonuses again from 250 so I finished thousands ahead of them.
Now the Encore betting comes up. Well 50% as usual. We know it's about Trios. I say they haven't asked about Rush yet which is Phil's favourite band. Phil says it could be about The Police which was also missed.

I start mentally peeling off answers while I'm dictating the question. Not the names of Run DMC, not the names of Black Eyed Peas
although they were a trio before Fergie joined. I skip down to Rascal Flatts. I just read a Billboard cover story on them within the last two
months. A country band with sort of a French name and the stereotype double-first name of another member is what I remembered about
their names. Yep just a few seconds before Phil notes the double-first name like Jim-Bob and Bobby-Joe. OK we're in.
Another way around would be to peel off who was not a trio which I wouldn't have been able to do. Yellowcard has five members but they were
the only non-trio up there.

I'm right and win as LITBOX with 68069. I finish 6th on the Network Top 20 for all North America. The bar is 6th in North America with a 55508 average...I earn 3000+ points for making this week's standard of 18000 which I finally notice as being displayed on the Playmaker rather than the monitor like the old format.
(ntn.com keeps us at 6th out of 1975 bars).
We notice during the recap that Phil hadn't entered a wager so the Playmaker defaulted to a risk of '0' which is different than the 50% of the previous format.
