NTN Encore Question of December 20th, 2008.

Tonight I'm playing with two boards as ROCKET and LITBOX with Rob COSMO/PLBAAB and Sean METLCA.
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp...ROCKET...4500/5000...1st/11...my two boards, METLCA, CHATZ and GORDO win round with 4500. .............LITBOX...4500/5000...1st/11. OnBeat...ROCKET...11500/14000...4th/11...COSMO/PLBAAB and CHATZ win going 8 right, 1 wrong. ............LITBOX...11500/14000...4th/11. I go 7 right and 2 wrong. Two questions were from my year end Billboard issue. Rob got me one more than I would have got on my own. Jukebox...ROCKET...16008/20000...5th/11...METLCA wins round. CHATZ is in lead with 16903. ............LITBOX...16021/20000...4th/11...I got outvoted on some categories but did better on some of them then the ones I did get my way on. Triviaoke...ROCKET...21185/28000...5th/11. .............LITBOX...21207/28000...4th/11. I take two -250s in this round...Rob got me two others or I would have done even worse. We finally all edge ahead of Ron CHATZ who kept wrestling us for the lead throughout the other rounds while playing over at the bar.
Now the Encore question comes up. "Oh no" I say. Classic composers. I know very little about them. I don't even get to read all the names into my micro-recorder before the answers disappear. I'd have rather had a Christmas song question but a few were in earlier rounds.

I don't know this. I put my answer on Beethoven as the first German composer that I know. The only one I can put out is the Stratavi choice as I expect that was the violin maker and I'd decided against him before the answers came back up. I do have a chance if I continue knocking out non-German names because I feel that if these songs/compositions were by Beethoven, I would have heard of them. Rob is of German heritage but Sean is the one who at this time is saying "Wiegenlied means lullaby" so they've chosen '4'. Thanks guys!

I don't know if I'd have had enough time to finish the nationality categorizing but they were: German, Italian, French, German, Finnish. I could play Brahm's Lullaby on the piano almost 40 years ago.
I'm right and stay in 4th place as LITBOX at 31810. I finish 18th overall in North America. The bar is 7th in NA with a 32080 average....I earn 3000+ points for making this week's 20000 average...COSMO wins and places 14th on the Network Top 20.

The bar averages weren't much lower than what they usually are for any other week. I hope this is the one week of the year or less that they ask a Classic composer Encore question so the quiz writers can say the game encompasses all genres of music.
