NTN Encore Question of October 25th, 2008.
Answers:
The four of us were at The Frog & Firkin but couldn't play because the NTN monitors had been programmed to show QB1 which was showing US college football. We wouldn't be able to watch Alabama vs Tennessee anyway as no station carries that in Toronto. The staff did not know how to reprogram the system. I ended up going home early as I had a lot on my mind with my father recently being hospitalized.

I would have got this if I'd have played. I knew the other groups had #1's. The Clash are in the current news because a DVD of their concert at Shea Stadium where the OPENED for The Who. This was when they were at their most popular around the world but they just weren't that famous in North America. I can think of some campus newspapers and radio stations where they were #1 in Toronto but they weren't mainstream enough.
